Always Crying Always in Love is a feature length rom-com about roller skating and trauma.

It’s about a Shane Sama, when he was a love sick romantic teen, and during his midlife crisis.

Teen Shane carries pianos for girls, he worships a lecherous heart-throb named King, who teaches him seductive flute spells. And teen Shane gets his heart broken, a lot.

Midlife crisis Shane “needs” to land a backflip on roller skates. Then his tortured life will have meaning. But his training is interrupted by an unlikely friendship with an intense young woman, Pallida, who is just as romantically crazy as he was in his teens.

All the men in Shane’s life are paper thin alphas desperate to show their masculinity.

In both timelines, Shane latches onto a creative and confident woman with daddy issues (Pallida and Mary) until their friendships dangerously blur into failed romance.

Always Crying Always in Love is about those insidious little traumas we ignore with shitty coping mechanisms (like roller skating, backflipping, and falling in love) until they don’t work and we break.

It’s about the “last ditch” effort of the everyday person to do something big. Even if it’s as stupid as landing a backflip on roller skates.
